You'll Love These Delicious and Healthy Tea Party Menu Ideas! (2024)

Look no further for some amazing tea party menu ideas with recipes that are both delicious and healthy with ways to make them low-carb too!

When I was a little girl I got a cookbook with recipes for a doll’s tea party.

Everything was tiny and so yummy!

My friend Laura and I made almost all the recipes and hosted many doll tea parties, and of course, we enjoyed eating all the little treats.

Then years and years went by without any kind of tea parties.

My bridal shower featured some wonderful tea party foods thanks to my mom and my aunt, and then there was another tea party drought in my life.

Soon after I moved to North Carolina, a tea room opened near my mom, and she was so excited to take me to tea when I came to visit.

The scones, lemon curd, clotted cream, tea sandwiches, and little desserts were all such a treat!

We planned a trip to the tea house almost every time I visited during the summer.

Ironically, this was one of the photos that made me realize I needed to find a healthier lifestyle.

There haven’t been any trips to the tea room for a few years now, so I was excited when our blogging supper club group decided to do a tea party theme!

AnnMarie created a gorgeous table that perfectly combined traditional and rustic elements.

But I wanted to serve up recipes that would fit into my Trim healthy Mama lifestyle.

What to Serve at a Keto Tea Party

One of the first things that come to mind when you go to tea is scones.

Scones are truly made to be transformed into a keto recipe!

I found this recipe for blueberry lemon scones and made a few tweaks (because that’s what I do), and they were delicious.

I can’t wait to share my updated version of this recipe with you!

A Keto Twist on Cucumber Sandwiches

Another recipe people tend to think about when they go to tea is cucumber sandwiches.

I decided to use cucumbers and make them into several keto-friendly tea recipes.

First, I made some tuna salad using plain nonfat Greek yogurt as the binder.

Then I used a vegetable peeler to cut really thin strips of cucumbers.

Pat the cucumbers dry with paper towels, then spread the tuna salad on 2/3 of the strip.

Roll the cucumbers up into twists.

If you make these ahead, be sure to store them separately from any other items because the water in the cucumbers will pool in the bottom and could make other items soggy.

I sliced another cucumber into 1/2-inch discs for this next bite-sized recipe.

Combine equal parts of goat cheese and cream cheese and pipe on top of the cucumbers.

A generous sprinkle of Everything Bagel seasoning looks great and tastes even better!

Pimento Cheese Tea Party Ideas

I cut the top off Campari tomatoes and used a grapefruit spoon to scoop out the seeds.

Set the tomatoes upside down on paper towels to drain while you make some pimento cheese.

You can also buy pimento cheese (Palmetto cheese is the best!).

Use a piping tool to fill the tomatoes with pimento cheese and garnish with thinly sliced green onion or chives.

Next, lightly toast a keto-friendly bread and cut off the crusts.

I used this circle cutter to cut my toast.

Spread the toast with more of the pimento cheese.

Since keto bread tends to be dry, I love making these ahead because the pimento cheese improves the texture.

More Savory Keto Sandwiches

There are lots of low carb tortilla options, including these sundried tomato ones.

I love how they add some color to my keto tea party menu!

I spread each tortilla with about 1 Tbsp of jalapeno cream cheese from Philadelphia.

Next, I layered three thin slices of smoked deli ham, and three slices of ultra-thin Provolone cheese.

Pickled okra is the center of these wraps.

You can use dill pickles if you prefer, but the pickled okra looks so pretty!

Roll up the tortillas and cut them into 1-inch pieces, discarding the ends (or eat them…)

I made some egg salad and spread it on little triangles of toasted keto bread.

Of course, I cut the crusts off because we’re getting fancy over here.

Some fresh dill makes the little sandwiches look extra.

Sweet Keto Tea Party Treat

For dessert, I made a batch of these keto macaroons.

I wanted them to look extra special, so I melted a bar of 85% dark chocolate and dipped half of each macaroon in the chocolate.

To harden the chocolate, I placed them on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper and put them in the freezer for 10 minutes.
