ATLANTA, Ga. –No. 9 Duke (34-16, 15-12 ACC) dropped the rubber match with Georgia Tech (30-19, 14-13 ACC) on Sunday, 8-6, at Russ Chandler Stadium.

The Yellow Jackets struck first in the bottom of the second inning, beforeHarrison Rodgerstripled to center field to scoreKyle Johnsonfrom first to tie the ballgame in the top of the fifth inning. Georgia Tech responded in the bottom half, regaining the lead, 2-1.

The Jackets added to their lead with a pair of runs in the sixth, before Duke was able to flush starter Take McKee after 6.1 innings of work.Zac Morriscrushed his 14th home run of the season to right center field, a three-run home run to tie the game. Later in the frame,Alex Stonemoved into sole possession of third on the Duke career home run list, hitting a two-run blast to right center field, capping off a five run inning for Duke.

Georgia Tech regained the lead in the bottom of the seventh inning for good, taking the series finale over the Blue Devils.
