Overview
To ensure that mortgage and equity loan documents are complete and accurate according to FNMA, FHLMC, federal, state, investor, RESPA, TILA, and NFCU guidelines and requirements. Review and validate full loan package post-closing, includes items related to the loan such as the Closing Disclosure, Loan Estimate, income documents, appraisals, other miscellaneous documents. Record, track, monitor documentation issues and productivity.
Responsibilities
- Validate processed RESPA cures to ensure the payout is processed appropriately in accordance with regulatory guidelines
- Determine whether mortgage and equity loan documents conform to stated guidelines and requirements
- Review system of record and enter tasks for identified issues
- Research, analyze and resolve issues related to documentation
- Document identified issues; update documentation as issues are resolved
- Review scanned mortgage documentation and index the image into the appropriate document type
- Coordinate with external vendors and internal business units to correct erroneous information
- Complete mortgage and equity document reviews within Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Perform Other duties assigned

Qualifications
- Exposure to managing multiple priorities independently and/or in a team environment to achieve goals
- Effective clerical, technical or administrative skills
- Effective research, analytical, and problem solving skills
- Effective organizational, planning and time management skills
- Effective skill following, interpreting and applying relevant data/instructions to guidelines, procedures, practices and Regulations
- Effective skill performing mathematical calculations and working accurately with numbers
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Effective word processing and spreadsheet software skills
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to reviewing/analyzing loans for compliance with Federal/state/county/NCUA/laws, regulations and policies
- Exposure to mortgage lending principles, concepts and practices including mortgage processing, closing, servicing, and underwriting
- Familiarity with financial institution and lending practices, principles, and regulations
- Familiarity with mortgage/equity loan processing, closing, and documentation requirements and regulations
- Familiarity with Navy Federal Products, services, programs, policies and procedures
Hours: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 4:30PM
