MORTON, Roland age 60, formerly of Shaker Heights, OH. passed away on Tuesday, Sep-1 tember 12, 1995. Roland was bom in Dayton, Ohio, to Wtlcher and Velma Morton.

He was preceded in death by his father and mentor, Wilcher W. Morton. He is survived by his devoted mother, Velma; his son, Michael Christopher; friends, Ishmeal Johnson and Dorothy Knott of Shaker Heights, OH; friends in Dayton and Cleveland. Roland was a member of Resurrection Catholic Church in Dayton and St. Cecilia Parish in Cleveland, OH.

He received his Baccalaureate degree from Ohio State University; his Masters degree from John Carroll University; and he did post graduate work at Cleveland State University and Kent State University. Roland had a distinguished career in the Cleveland Public School system from 1957 until his retirement in 1 984. His last assignment was Principal of John Hay High School. Roland was an avid golfer and sports enthusiast and he enjoyed classical music and history. He belonged to many organizations, including lifetime membership in Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity; Khayyams Social Klub; and Grand OL' Eagles Golf Club.

Mass will be held at Resurrection Catholic Church, 130 Gramont on Monday, September 18 at 12 Noon. The family will receive friends from 10:00 A.M. until time of Mass. Alpha Phi Alpha memorial services will be held at 11 :30 A.M. Arrangements by Smith Funeral Home.

David Aaron, age 34, of 39 Central passed away Tuesday, Sept. 12 at Hospice of Dayton, due toAIDSComplications. A native of Cincinnati and Dayton resident for almost 6 years. He was a member of Positive Power and The Dayton HIV Prevention Community Planning Group and has spoken throughout the Miami Valley thru presentation and media interviews. He was active in AIDS Education and Prevention oathe City, County, State and Federal levels.

Received the Compassion Awards for volunteer and caregiver 1994. Preceded in death by both grandmothers. Survivors include devoted mate, Bronce W.
