Reasoning as Causal Pattern CompletionOnce an AI has learned a world simulator it can learn how things work, kind of like RL or non-axiomatic learners... but they'd need to be able to learn to recognize and complete causal DAGs, not just black box heuristics.

Thoroughly enjoyable 2 days at #CIPDace23 loads of takeaways and of course the hot topics were how are we going to work with AI and it’s impacts along with upskilling staff at pace. I really liked a point raised today around AI not being a tech problem but a people problem to solve, the tech is here what we as people professionals need to be doing is getting in the middle of the conversation around how are we going to use it fairly, safely, inclusively and in transparent way, which needs to be on every orgs people agenda to resolve. Trying to limit its use due to fears, is a ludicrous stance as our people are already using it on their personal devices so embrace it now and get ahead of your competitors
