Core CompetenciesThe Senior Associate, Talent role is newly developed and will be a pivotal part of the Harris Williams team providing support across the firm, including support of our M&A Banking, PCA (Private Capital Advisory) and Professionals groups. It is preferred that candidates have 5+ years of experience in Human Resources, with a specific focus on employee relations and HR consulting. Experience in a growing organization, regular interaction with multiple levels of leadership, and the proven ability to successfully operate in a multi matrix environment is a plus.
- This is an in-office role.
Core ResponsibilitiesEmployee Relations
- Responsible for driving the performance improvement process across all business groups, including:
- Consulting with managers and business leaders on a variety of topics/issues
- Coaching managers and business leaders on how to navigate complex and sensitive conversations
- Partnering with managers and business leaders to develop appropriate documentation
- Ensuring the consistent application of our internal processes
- Coordinating with external counsel and others as needed
HR Consulting
- Provides counsel and talent recommendations to business leaders at all levels
- Creates and implements talent programs to support people and culture development
- Drives firm wide programs and processes within each business group
- Provides feedback and insight into the needs of specific groups to other talent partners
- Partners with the business group on workforce planning and prioritization
Job Specific Competencies, Education And Experience
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in Human Resources or a related field; knowledge/experience in HR consulting and employee relations
- Ability to handle complex and challenging conversations/situations
- Excellent judgement; pragmatic approach
- Gravitas and the ability to influence
- Ability to build and foster relationships at all levels
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated critical thinking skills
- Exceptional work ethic, with the ability to meet deadlines and execute efficiently.
- Demonstrates a collaborative approach that builds interpersonal networks across multiple entities
- Organized and diligent, with the ability to work in a faced paced environment, across multiple functions and/or locations

Base Salary: $100,000 - 115,000
Salaries may vary within the range based on geographic location, market data and on individual skills, experience, and education.
Role is incentive eligible with the payment based upon company, business and/or individual performance.

although longer with business discretion.
